Jonathan “Jon” Erece Blanco, 27, of Kalaoa, died Aug. 8 at Kona Community Hospital. Born March 14, 1985, in Pahala, he was a houseman for a hotel in Kona and member of Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. Aug. 17 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church for a 7 p.m. wake service. Friends may call again at 8 a.m. Aug. 18 for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Pahala Catholic Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by fiancée, Madonna Kalavi, of Kalaoa; parents, Mamerto (Guadalupe) Blanco Jr., of Pahala; sister, Cathy (Jerome) Rodrigues, of Kihei, Maui; maternal grandparent, Laurdis Erece, of Pahala; a niece; two nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
