Bunichi “Butch” Usagawa, 92, of Hilo, died Aug. 14 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born Jan. 3, 1920, in Hilo, he was a retired state forest ranger and member of Kaumana 1 Mile Kumiai and Palm Society.

Friends may call at noon Aug. 19 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 1 p.m. service. Burial follows at 3:30 p.m. at Alae Cemetery Section H. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by son, Barry (Sharon) Usagawa, of Kaneohe, Oahu; daughter, Ann (Stephen Nemeth) Usagawa, of Hilo; sister, Kay (Joe) Yamauchi, of Hilo; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
