Gertrude Bolton
Gertrude Bolton, 102, of Glenwood, died July 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Corder, Mo., she was a retired Lutheran elementary school teacher in Long Beach, Calif., member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hilo and Volcano Senior Center and tutor with the Laubach Literacy Council in East Hawaii.
Friends may7 call at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 19 at Christ Lutheran Church, 595 Kapiolani St., Hilo, for a celebration of life. Family requests aloha attire be worn and no flowers.
She is survived by daughters, Louise (John) Robertson, of Glenwood, Janet Winkler, of Texas; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
