Mrs. Fusami Yano, age 89, of Honokaa died July 29 at North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea. She was born in Kukaiau on December 28, 1922 and was a retired honey packer employed by Powers Apiary. She was a member of the Hamakua Jodo Mission and Ahualoa Kumiai. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Hamakua Jodo Mission in Honokaa at 9 a.m.; memorial service follows at 10 a.m. Casual attire is requested. She is survived by son Clyde (Ida) Yano of Honokaa; daughter Veronica Inouye of Honolulu; sister Yoshimi Uyeda of Waimea; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.
