Parents, guardians and students of Kealakehe High School are invited to drop by the school’s library on Tuesday for assistance with filling out school forms.
Staff will be available between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. to help fill out school forms such as free or reduced lunch and school bus applications, emergency cards and other forms; give Personal Transition Plan deadlines; provide information about Title I and Supplemental Educational Services; and answer any other questions.
Refreshments will be served.

Kealakehe High, NHERC to host grant training course in Kailua-Kona
Kealakehe High School and the North Hawaii Education and Research Center will host a grant training program Oct. 1 to 5 in Kailua-Kona.
The five-day workshop for grantseekers at public and private nonprofit organizations takes participants through the entire grants process — from identifying the right funders to preparing airtight grant applications.
The course will be presented by The Grantmanship Center, which has trained thousands of staff from private nonprofit organizations and government agencies throughout the United States, as well as in Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, since 1972.
The program uses the Grantsmanship Center’s Listen and Discuss, Do and Review curriculum, which maximizes retention. Throughout the workshop, participants put into practice what they are learning.
Because the training focuses on the specific needs of individual participants and provides personal attention, registration is limited to 30 participants.
Tuition for the program is $895 for the first attendee and $845 for each additional attendee from the same organization. A limited number of partial scholarships are available for qualified agencies.
