Aiko Watanabe, 89, of Kealakekua died June 29 at her residence. Born in Hilo, she taught adult education pattern drafting classes. She was a proprietor of her own drafting school, proprietor for Aiko Fashions in Kealakekua and Kailua-Kona, and a member of Seiganji and Kona Koyasan Dashigi.

Visitation will take place at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 18 at Kona Hongwanji Hall in Kealakekua, followed by an 11:30 a.m. service.

She is survived by sons Wayne (Nancy) Watanabe of Kailua-Kona, Lance Watanabe of Kealakekua; and daughters Diane Watanabe of Kealakekua, Janice Watanabe of Kealakekua; and one aunt.
