Arsenia Oasay Nicolas, 77, of Keaau died July 21 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Jan. 7, 1935, in the Philippines, she was a retired macadamia nut picker and St. Joseph Catholic Church member.

Friends may call Aug. 1 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, where visitation occurs from 5 to 9 p.m. and a wake service begins at 7 p.m. Friends may also call Aug. 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, where visitation occurs from 8 to 10 a.m. and Mass begins at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section). The family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, Domingo Nicolas of Keaau; sons, Robert (Prima) Nicolas, Lindbergh (Judith) Nicolas, Ricardo (Glenda) Nicolas of Keaau, Efren (Thelma) Nicolas of Hilo, Ceasar (Myla) Nicolas of Pahoa; daughters, Gloria (Tony) Salvador, Erlinda (Gerry) Buentipo, Maria (Nelson) Cabay, Marilyn (Bobsy) Gumayagay of Keaau, Lina (Noel) Deguillmo of Honolulu; 23 grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
