Nelson Kaupu
Nelson Kawila Kaupu, 71, of Kealakekua, died May 29 at Kona Community Hospital. Born March 27, 1941, in Opihihale, he was a mechanic and heavy equipment operator for Koa Construction Co. and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon July 21 at Honuapo (Whittington) Beach Park in Naalehu for a celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
