Hundreds of ballots have been cast already as people vote for their favorite pieces in each of four categories. At the end of the show, votes will be tabulated and the winner in each category will receive a prize of $100, with the top vote getter overall receiving a $250 prize for the People’s Choice Award.

The four categories for the entries include turning, joinery, sculpture and open. Turning refers to works that are mostly created on a lathe. Joinery refers to such things as inlay work, frames, boxes and furniture. Sculpture is where the majority of the work is carved or shaped. Open is for mixed entries in several genres, including kinetic pieces and entries that don’t fit into the other three categories.

Pieces sold in the show will remain on display until the show is over when they will disappear into collector’s hands. The gallery’s regular hours of operation are from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Show entries may also be viewed on the gallery’s website, harborgallery.biz.

To contact the gallery, email gunner@harborgallery.biz or call 882-1510. The Winter Wood Show will take place from mid-January through mid-February at the gallery.
