Ann Elizabeth Blanchart Magoon, 78, of Kailua-Kona, died July 2 at her residence. Born Feb. 16, 1934, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker; past president of Beta Sigma Phi; volunteer with Castle Medical Center, Kona Community Hospital, Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society; major contributor for Hawaii Isle Police Activities League and Family Support Services of West Hawaii; and member and Silver Life Master recipient of the American Contract Bridge League.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. July 14 at Hualalai Academy Bridge Club. Family requests casual or aloha attire be worn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Family Support Services of West Hawaii. Friends also may call at 11 a.m. July 16 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Kailua, Oahu, for a noon service. Inurnment follows at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
She is survived by husband, Jerry Magoon, of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Wendy (Willie) Rose, of Hilo, Juliette (Paul Costa) Magoon-Costa and Stephanie (Bill Dwyer) Magoon-Dwyer, both of KailuaKona; sister, Gladys Esposito, of Kailua, Oahu; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;numerous nieces and nephews.
