Aidan Ah Hee clubbed a three-run homer and a two-run double, finishing with six RBIs as Hilo won the District III Little League majors title with a 19-9 win over Kona Coast Sunday at Honokaa’s Parks and Recreation complex.

Hilo advanced to the state majors tournament, which takes place July 21-28 on Maui.

Ah Hee’s two-out, three-run homer in the top of the second inning gave Hilo a 6-2 lead in the double-elimination tournament game for players ages 11-12. Ah Hee’s two-run double highlighted a five-run third inning that gave Hilo an 11-2 advantage.

Lander Mizuba added three hits, including a two-run homer in the fifth. Four of Cullen Carriaga’s five hits came with two outs, including a second-inning double that led to Ah Hee’s three-run homer.

Zachary Riveira contributed an RBI triple.

Eric Riveira struck out six batters over four innings to get the win. He gave up four runs on seven hits, walking four batters.

Steven Texeira, who pitched the first 2 1⁄3 innings for Kona Coast, took the loss. He surrendered six runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Phillip Grace had three hits, including a first-inning two-run homer that got Kona Coast within 3-2 and a fifth-inning triple.

Kaehu Kuahuia added three RBIs, coming through with a two-run single in the third and an RBI single in the fifth.

Jake Basque turned in an unassisted double play, leaping high in the air to take away a hit from Nathan Minami and stepping on second to double off a Hilo baserunner.
