Elena Sorei

Elena Sorei, 84, of Ainaloa, died June 20 at Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Chuuk, Micronesia.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. July 13 at the family residence in Ainaloa for an all-night vigil. Friends also may call at 8 a.m. July 14 at Pahoa Sacred Hearts Church for a 10 a.m. Mass.

She is survived by sons, Thomas (Futalina) Sorcy, of Pahoa, Gonzaka (Toni) Sorcy, of Paradise Park, Wrecks (Retcy) Sorcy, Atanasio (Tryleen) Sorei and John Sorei, all of Ainaloa, David (Bessie) Sorcy and Hermes (Selin) Sorcy, both of Honolulu; daughters Michaela Likiche and Lucia Sorei, both of Ainaloa, Tarsy (Elem) Lucas, of Honolulu; brother, Otto Mwareiwy, of Chuuk, Micronesia; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
