Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Kela, 69, of Hilo, died June 28 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center . Born in Honolulu, she was a maintenance worker with C.W. Maintenance, worked at the former KFC in downtown Hilo and member of Kuhio Chapel in Keaukaha and Hui Hoopili.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. July 13 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Cremation follows. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
She is survived by husband, Richard Kela Sr., of Hilo; son, Richard Kela Jr., of Hilo; brother, Herbert Sweeney, of Kauai; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
