Emergency personnel have closed the northbound lane on Queen Kaahumanu Highway between Hinalani Street and Hulikoa Street because of a brush fire in the area.
Fire personnel are on scene. It is not known how long the road will continue to be closed.
Motorists are being asked to use Route 190 and Kaiminani Drive for those needing to access the Kona International Airport or other destinations north on Queen Kaahumanu Highway.
