Cheri Hisashima
Cheri Sumie Hisashima, 60, of Hilo, died June 18 at her residence. Born April 26, 1952, in Hilo, she was a member of the Heritage Christian Fellowship Church in Hilo anc employed by the office of Dr. Walter Loo, the Pet Hospital and George’s Meat Market.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. June 30 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Family requsts casual attire be worn and no flowers.
She is survived by brothers, Wayne (Linda) Hisashima and Glen (Norine) Hisashima, both of Hilo; sister, Susan Delara, of Honolulu; four nephews; five nieces; numerous uncles, aunt and cousins.

Gary Oleyte
Gary Jose Oleyte, 59, of Pahala, died June 16 at his home. Born Aug. 5, 1952, in rural Ka‘u, he was a caregiver, former employee of Seamountain Golf Course and former oil rigger.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. June 30 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Urn burial follows in the church cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by mother, Virginia Oleyte, of Pahala; brothers, Ernest (Lenora) Oleyte and Andres (Rose) Oleyte, both of Pahala, Christopher (Cyndee) Oleyte, of Alabama; sisters, Elaine (Wilmet) Lorenzo and Suzanne Oleyte, both of Volcano, Sandra (Edward) Polido, of Pahala, Patricia (Jack) York, of Arkansas; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Frances Pelekane-Oliva
Frances Francesca Pelekane-Oliva 65, of Kailua-Kona, died June 5 in Las Vegas. Born and raised on Oahu, she was a retired elementary school educational assistant with special education children and former vice president and accountant of Hawaiian International Service and Tours.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon June 30 at the Honokohau Harbor Yacht Club pavilion.
She is survived by husband, Wilson Oliva Sr.; brothers, Herbert (Viola) Apiag, of Las Vegas, Ronald (Gale) Apiag, of Oregon, Gary Apiag, of Virginia; sisters, Loretta (Andrew) Rocha, of Oahu, Charlotte Apiag, of California; sons, George (Rose) Pelekane, of Kona, Gerald (Cheryl) Pelekane, of Hawaiian Oceanview Estates, Garrett (Jen) Pelekane, of Oahu, Gabriel (Ginny) Pelekane, of Kealakekua; hanai son, Rodney (Denise) Willis Jr., of Waimea; daughters, Georgine (Colbert) Kaimiola, of Kona, Geraldine (Alston Sr.) Kaleohano, of Hookena; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Karen Wibly
Karen Lee Wibly, 58, of Kailua-Kona, died June 22 in Kealakekua. Born May 23, 1954, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was a deli chef in the food industry.
Private services are planned.
She is survived by sisters, Ashley (Allen) King, of Kailua-Kona, Gretchen (John) Belley, of Bastrop, Texas; brothers, Rick (Nancy) Wollet, of Salem, Ohio, Bill (Lee) Wollet of Nobleville, Ind.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Martin Branco
Martin “Jackie” Branco, 89, of Hilo, died June 26 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 13, 1923, at Laupahoehoe Point, he was a World War II Army veteran, area salesman for Standard Oil Co., cattle rancher, mac nut farmer, bulldozer operator and member of Keaau Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Panaewa Kumiai Association and Chevron Retirees Association.
Friends may call at 7 p.m. July 2 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. July 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial is at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.
