Verizon expands 4G network on island
Verizon Wireless has expanded its 4G Long Term Evolution network on the Big Island. The expanded network enables customers in more parts of the Big Island to use their wireless devices to surf the Web, listen to music, stream live video, take advantage of thousands of applications and stay in touch with family and friends.
Verizon Wireless 4G LTE service is currently available in Hilo, Keaau, Mountain View and Pahoa. With the network expansion, residents in the following areas have access to the 4G network: Kailua-Kona, Honokohau, Keauhou, Kealakekua, Captain Cook, Waikoloa Village, Waikoloa and South Kohala resorts, including the Hilton Waikoloa, Marriott, Mauna Lani and Hapuna Beach Prince.

Frank Among has been hired as vice president of sales and marketing for Polynesian Adventure Tours/Gray LineHawaii. Among assumes responsibility for the sales team and is charged with developing and executing the company’s business growth strategy.
Among has more than 25 years of travel industry sales, marketing and executive-level management experience in airline, wholesaler and online companies. Prior to accepting his new post, Among served as the Hawaii market manager for the online travel company Bookit.com.
