Hawaii Classic Cruisers presents Cruise Paradise 2012 from June 28 through July 7. Classic and vintage vehicles will cruise the streets of the Big Island during this 10-day islandwide event.
Hawaii Classic Cruisers presents Cruise Paradise 2012 from June 28 through July 7. Classic and vintage vehicles will cruise the streets of the Big Island during this 10-day islandwide event.
Classics arriving from as far away as Texas and Florida will join cars from the neighbor islands and local favorites participating in the many activities planned for club members with free admission to the public. During this 10-day event, vehicles are expected to travel approximately 90,000 miles and use 9,000 gallons of gas.
Television personality Dennis Gage will film an episode of “My Classic Car” at the events to be televised on the SPEED channel.
Registration for participants takes place from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kamaaina Motors and Kimo’s Hale in Hilo.
The cars cruise from Hilo to Kailua-Kona beginning at 9:30 a.m. Friday and wind up in the McDonald’s and Target parking lot at Kona Commons for a show and shine event from 6 to 9 p.m.
Waikoloa Queen’s MarketPlace hosts a show-and-shine event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The group cruises from Waikoloa to Hilo beginning at 9:30 a.m. July 2 and arrives at Blane’s Drive Inn, DeLuz Chevrolet, Line-X and Lex Brodie for a show and shine event from 6 to 9 p.m.
An autograph and picture taking session with Gage and Bob McClurg is planned from 2 to 5 p.m. July 3 at Hilo Napa Auto Parts.
