Louisa Fuellas

Louisa Ann Fuellas, 73, of Kailua-Kona, died June 14 at her residence. Born Jan. 8, 1939, in Kohala, she was a retired guest activities clerk at the Mauna Kea Beach HoteL, former pharmacy clerk and cashier at Kmart and member of Kohala Filipino Catholic Club, Kohala Lions Club and St. Michael’s and Sacred Heart Catholic churches.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. June 22 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona for a 6 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. June 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at the Hawi County Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

She is survived by husband, John Fuellas, of Kailua-Kona; son, Myron Fuellas, of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Myrna (Robin) Amarino, of Holualoa, Janis (Kerry) Kanetani, of Kurtistown; brothers, Benjamin (Terri) Castillo, of Hilo, Carlos Castillo, of Honolulu; sisters, Marci (Ben) Bolos, Loretta (Edmund) Dante and Anita (Alvin) Maeda, all of Hilo, Felisa (Ignacio) Mostoles, of Keaau; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Hannah Ferreira

Hannah “Mili” Mililani Kerr Ferreira, 78, of Ahualoa died June 11 at her residence. Born in Honolulu, she was the former owner of Cattleman’s Steak House in Waimea, a flight attendant for Hawaiian Airlines, secretary for Bishop Trust and a graduate of Punahou Schools.

Private services will take place at a later date.

She is survived by husband, J. Rodney Ferreira, of Ahualoa; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tsuruko Tai See

Tsuruko Tai See, 91, of Pearl City, Oahu, formerly of Hilo, died April 26 at the Pearl City Nursing Home. Born in Hilo, she was a flower arranger and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Hilo.

Private services were held. Family requests monetary donations be omitted.

She is survived by daughters, Betty Shibata, of Pearl City, Oahu, Evelyn (Chester) Saito, of Seattle; sons, Ronald (Anne) Tai See of Puna, Robert (Nancy) Tai See, of Waipahu, Oahu; sister, Shizue (Take) Shiroma, of Hilo; brother, Chosei (Alice) Sakihara, of Hilo; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Yoshiko Shimazu

Yoshiko Shimazu, 78, of Hilo, died June 1 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired house cleaner.

Private services were held.

She is survived by brothers, Harou Shimazu, of Hilo, Masayuki Shimazu, of Honolulu; sisters, Itsue Masaki, of Hilo, Kotoyo Geneku, of Honolulu; numerous nieces and nephews.

Florence Kreiss

Florence Mary Kreiss, 88, of Kailua-Kona, died June 8 at Kona Community Hospital. Born April 29, 1924, in Honolulu, she was an office manager and bookkeeper for a roofing material company.

Private services were held.

She is survived by son, Joseph (Kim) Kreiss of Fairmont, Minn.; grandson, Joseph (Whitney) Kreiss, of California; granddaughter, Meghann Kreiss, of California; one nephew.
