c Emily I. Rios, 24, of Kailua-Kona, pleaded guilty May 21 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant and failure to have no-fault motor vehicle insurance. She was sentenced to pay $1,484 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. Her license was also suspended.
c Mark S. Tomczak, 51, of Kailua-Kona, pleaded no contest May 21 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He was sentenced to pay $937 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program.
c James Erin Wilson, 49, of Kailua-Kona, pleaded no contest May 12 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant, driving with an improper license and failure to have no-fault motor vehicle insurance. He was sentenced to pay $1,046 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course and ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment. He must also serve an unspecified amount of jail time and his license was revoked.
c Michael Suber, 21, of Kailua-Kona, pleaded guilty May 21 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant and driving with a license suspended for a prior DUI conviction. He was sentenced to pay $474 in fines and fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. He must also serve an unspecified amount of jail time and his license was revoked.
c Joseph Hartman, 24, of Kealakekua, pleaded guilty May 21 to driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He was sentenced to pay $437 in fees, referred to a driver’s education course, ordered to undergo substance abuse assessment and, if determined required, treatment, and enter a substance abuse rehabilitation program. He must also perform an unspecified number of community service hours.
