Shirley Ann Yamaoka-Greig, 73, of Hilo, died May 23 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired registered nurse at Life Care Center of Hilo, former instructor at University of Hawaii-Hilo and former member of Hilo Community College Nursing School Advisory Board.

Hazel Marie Bartels Warner, 89, of Honokaa, formerly of Oxford Junction and Baldwin, Iowa, died May 1 at Hale Hoola Hamakua Hospice Unit in Honokaa. Born Jan. 26, 1923, in Palisades, Iowa, she was a homemaker, farmer and member of First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Sept. 22 at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa, for an 11 a.m. celebration of life. Burial will be in the Buckhorn Cemetery in Maquoketa, Iowa. Mildred “Millie” Vrzina, 84, of Kailua-Kona, died May 16. Born Feb. 1, 1928, in Clinton, Ind., she worked for Columbia Records in quality control and the U.S. Postal Service as a carrier and teller.
A celebration of life will be held Aug. 26 in Clinton, Ind. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hawaii Island Humane Society.
She is survived by son, George (Carolyn) Vrzina, of Clinton, Ind.; daughters, Patty (Tom) Evans, of Roseville, Calif., Connie (David) Peters, of Montclair, Calif., Barbara (Steve) Machesky, of Kailua-Kona; sister, Katherine (Ronald) Glover, of Clinton, Ind.; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack Dale Cornair, 85, of Kailua-Kona, died May 7 at his residence. Born Sept. 11, 1926, in Owosso, Mich., he was a longtime contractor and owner of Duralith Products and Big Island Supplies and a Navy veteran.
