High surf will continue to pound the Big Island’s east-facing shores through Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
An advisory, expected to remain in effect until 6 p.m. Monday, states rough 6- to 8-feet surf will occur along the affected coastlines. Strong rip currents and localized beach erosion are also anticipated.
