Warren Curtis
Warren Perry Curtis, 97, of Hilo, died May 18 at his residence. Born in Overland Park, Mo., he was a retired printer, served as a Navy Seabee in World War II and member of International Typographic Union.
Private services were held. Family requests no flowers or monetary gifts.
He is survived by wife, Mary Curtis, of Hilo; sons, Michael (Cherrie) Curtis, Timothy (Linda) Curtis, both of San Diego; stepsons, Mark (Alexis) Kane, Jonathan (Kathy) Kane, both of Oahu, Gregory (Beverly) Kane, of Hilo; daughters, Deedee (Joseph) Dodd, Susanna (Damien) Rhodes, both of Oregon, Mary (Michael) Dague, of Washington; stepdaughters, Charlene (Bud) Fields, Georgia (Ron) Hosoda, both of California, Whilhelmina Kane, of Colorado, Teresa Knocke, of Hilo; 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Lon Ussery Jr.
Lon Esker Ussery Jr., 84, of Kailua-Kona, died May 15 at his residence. Born March 21, 1928, in Wilmington, N.C., he was a retired clinical psychologist who worked in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, N.C., and also in private practice.
Private services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Hawaii Island Humane Society.
He is survived by companion, Tom Blackburn, of Kailua-Kona; stepsons, Adam (Karen) Falk, of Williamstown, Mass., Toby Falk, of Chappaqua, N.Y.; hanai sisters, Kate Bell, Priscilla Studholme, both of Kailua-Kona; hanai brother, Jack Wallace, of Kailua-Kona.

William Shimabukuro
William Shinichi Shimabukuro, 80, of Hilo, died May 12 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Hilo, he was the owner of the former Shima’s Electric and Korean War Army veteran.
Private services were held.
He is survived by daughter, Tammy (Liborio) Arquero, of Hilo; sons, Alan McCabe, of Honolulu, Dale (Kelly) McCabe, of South Dakota; 10 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Rocky Pactol
Rocky Pekelo Pactol, 18, of Honokaa, died May 6 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Wahiawa, Oahu, he worked as a golf cart attendant at Waimea Country Club.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. June 2 at Imiola Congregational Church in Waimea for a 10:30 a.m. service. Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. June 16 at St. Michael’s Church in Waialua, Oahu, for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by parents, Nadine and Peter Pactol, of Waialua, Oahu; grandparents, Pedro (Lillian) Pactol, Gloria Nahinu, both of Waialua, Oahu; sisters, Marissa Pactol, Stevie Pactol, both of Honokaa; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and hanai brothers and sisters.
