Randell I. Owens, 58, of Ocean View, died Feb. 5 at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born March 16, 1953, in Portland, Ore., he was a Marine Corps veteran.
Friends may call at 1 p.m. May 28 at the Wanda and Ed Torres home, 92-1477 Aloha Blvd., Ocean View. Scattering of ashes will be held at a later date. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by sister, Mia Owens.

Services for Thomas Kaimi Spinney, who died May 6 and whose obituary was printed previously, will be at 10:30 a.m. May 28 at Honokau Harbor with luncheon to follow at the Point.
Marion Tavares
Marion “Sonny” Tavares, 88, of Hilo, formerly of Honomu, died May 13 at his residence. Born Aug. 22, 1923, in Honomu, he was retired from the Hawaii County Fire Department, a rancher, World War II Army veteran and member of Independent Cane Planters Association and Honomu Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. May 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at 11:30 a.m. at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Laura Tavares, of Hilo; daughter, Sandie (Mike) Kaleikini, of Hilo; sons, Skipper (Ann) Tavares, of Hilo, John Roach, of Fern Forest; sisters, Blanche Pakele, of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., Roselyn (George) Lakis, of Lewisburg, Pa.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Toni Blair
Toni Fortin Blair, 65, of Kona, died May 19 at her residence. Born July 26, 1946, in Seattle, she was a teacher, vice president of Kahala Capital, PADI divemaster, personal fitness trainer, wilderness tour guide, founding member of People’s Advocacy for Trails Hawaii, 1983 Kona Ironman finisher and member of Keauhou Canoe Club.
Friends may call at 2 p.m. May 27 at the Keauhou Canoe Club for a celebration of life. Those attending are asked to bring a heavy pupu or dessert and choice of beverage. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to PATH or Hospice of Kona.
Ricardo Pajo
Ricardo “Kado” Pajo, 50, of Keaau, died May 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a member of the Koa Puna Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by sons, Ricardo Pajo III and Royale Pajo, both of Keaau; sister, Francelle Waipa, of Keaau; several nieces and nephews.

Noel Bren
Noel Emil Bren, 86, of Kalaoa and Barnes, Wis., died May 5 at his residence. Born Aug. 5, 1925, in Minnetonka, Minn., he was the retired proprietor of Windward Battery Exchange in Kaneohe, Oahu, and a World War II Navy veteran.
Services will be held on June 6 in Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations be sent to Hospice of Kona, P.O. Box 4130, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 or to Hawaii Island United Way, P.O. Box 3318, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745.
He is survived by daughters, Susan (Marty) Warner, of California, Cathie (Peter) Amelotte, of Kalaoa; son, Christopher Bren, of Minnesota; sister, Bonnie Gullickson, of Minnesota; brother, Clair (Diann) Bren, of Minnesota; companion, Gloria Wilford, of Minnesota; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews.

Masami Okui
Masami Okui, 96, of Hilo, died May 16 at his home. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired laboratory technician for C. Brewer Analytical Laboratory and member of Waiakea Upper Houselot Kumiai, Kamana Senior Center Gomoku Club, and Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
He is survived by wife, Aiko Okui, of Hilo; sons, Harvey Okui, of San Diego, Craig (Rheda) Okui, of Mililani, Oahu, Garret (Hyon Chu) Okui, of Hilo; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
