c Matches or lighters, in a waterproof container
c Hibachi or barbecue, with charcoal and lighter
c Can opener, nonelectric
c Leatherman or similar type multitool
c First-aid kit
c Household chlorine bleach
c Whistle to signal for help
c Personal hygiene supplies
c Extra prescription medications, including an extra pair of prescription eyeglasses
c Sleeping bags or blankets and tent
c Change of clothing and extra shoes or boots for each family member
c Pet food
c Ice chest, blue-ice packs in household freezer
