Day camp registration due by June 9
The Kona Okinawa Kenjinkai and Hawaii United Okinawa Association presents “Warabi Ashibi” — children at play — from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 23 and 24 at Hualalai Academy.
Children of all ethnic backgrounds between the ages of 8 and 13 are welcome to apply for the day camp. The class will accommodate 25 children on a first-come, first-served basis. Activities include making a cultural instrument, dancing, Okinawan karate and Okinawan bingo.
The deadline to register is June 9. The $45 registration fee includes camp supplies, lunch and a T-shirt. The registration fee for families with two or more children is $35 per child.
