Kauaheaheokauanomeha Jay Palapala Lactaoen, 19, of Waimea, is survived by his mother, Kawehilani Lactaoen, of Waimea. Both his first name and his first mother’s name were incorrect in an obituary that ran Saturday.

Florencio Ramos

Florencio R. Ramos, 74, of Waimea, died May 13 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired farm laborer and member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. May 26 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Teresita Ramos, of Waimea; sons, Noel (Christine) Ramos, of Los Angeles, Hilarion (Lynn Kaohu) Ramos, of Waimea; daughter, Marie (Kelvin) Nakano, of Waimea; one brother and two sisters from the Philippines; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Arthur Lindsey

Arthur Kuakini Lindsey, 86, of Waimea, died May 2 at Hale Hoola Hamakua. Born Sept. 9, 1925, in Makahalau, he was retired from the former Sure Save Supermarket in Waimea, member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea and an Army veteran.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. May 26 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Waimea Catholic Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by sisters, Eva Kealamakia and Irene Fergerstrom, both of Waimea, Abigail Akiu, of Oahu, Grace (Aloysius) Spenser, of Maui; numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mazie Roberts

Mazie Kaaumoana Nelson Roberts, 95, of Pahoa, died May 16 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Salt Lake City, she was a retired professional entertainer, a homemaker and member of Pahoa Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. May 24 at Dodo Mortuary chapel. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. May 25 at the Pahoa Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Orchidland for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at Alae Cemetery-Mormon Section in Hilo. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by sons, Bill (Wilma) Lani, of Pearl City, Oahu, Kawai Roberts, of Yorba Linda, Calif.; daughters, Beverly (William) Aye, of Yorba Linda, Calif., Patricia Tamanaha, of Kailua-Kona, Laurie (Kevin) Antony, of Pahoa; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

David Lagat

David Lee Lagat, 58, of Germany and formerly from Papaikou, died May 13 in Germany. Born Sept. 26, 1953, in Hilo, he was a retired Air Force veteran and member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. May 23 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. May 24 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial will be at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests aloha attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

He is survived by wife, Hae Lagat, of Germany; daughters, Christine (Brian) Nakamori, of Dublin, Calif., Lydia (Calvin) Mukai, of Papaikou; father, Benigno Lagat, of Papaikou; sisters, Inez (Mark) Johnson, of Papaikou, Carla (Ely Ramos) Lagat, of Honolulu; brothers, Francis (LaDonna) Lagat, of Wichita Falls, Texas, Maurice (Sandy) Lagat, of Lorena, Texas, Paul (Leelynn) Lagat, of Keaau; two grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Keith King

Keith King, 71, of Kailua-Kona, died May 3 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Oct. 28, 1940, in New Canaan, Conn., he was a retired Coast Guard commander, served as first mate on the Trojan Sea Raider charter boat, a state Judiciary, 3rd Circuit Court, driving improvement adviser and state Department of Land and Natural Resources Hunter Education administrator.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Cynthia King, of Kailua-Kona; sons, Terryl (Christiann) King, of Mountain View, Darrin (Vicki) King, of Gresham, Ore.; brothers, Nason King, of Marstons Mills, Mass., Bryan King, of Bristol, Conn.; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ben McCallister

Ben Dee McCallister, 79, of Waimea, died May 13 at his residence. Born July 24, 1932, in Fort Worth, Texas, he was a retired heart specialist for St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., an Army physician for Tripler Hospital, an Army veteran, and member of Annunciation Ascension Catholic Church, Mission Hills Country Club, American Medical Association and American College of Cardiology.

Service information will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, North Hawaii Hospice or Annunciation Ascension Catholic Church.

He is survived by wife, Virginia McCallister, of waimea; sons, Ben (Betsy) McCallister Jr., of Ann Arbor, Mich., Scott (Julie) McCallister, of Cleveland, John (Caroline) McCallister, of Kansas City, Mo., Thomas (Gail) McCallister, of San Rafael, Calif.; daughter, Katherine (Joseph) Cubba, of Fairfax, Va.; brother, Larry (Cynthia) McCallister, of Overland Park, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
