Florencio R. Ramos, 74, of Waimea, died May 13 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired farm laborer and member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa.

Arthur Kuakini Lindsey, 86, of Waimea, died May 2 at Hale Hoola Hamakua. Born Sept. 9, 1925, in Makahalau, he was retired from the former Sure Save Supermarket in Waimea, member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea and an Army veteran.

David Lee Lagat, 58, of Germany and formerly from Papaikou, died May 13 in Germany. Born Sept. 26, 1953, in Hilo, he was a retired Air Force veteran and member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou.

Keith King, 71, of Kailua-Kona, died May 3 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Oct. 28, 1940, in New Canaan, Conn., he was a retired Coast Guard commander, served as first mate on the Trojan Sea Raider charter boat, a state Judiciary, 3rd Circuit Court, driving improvement adviser and state Department of Land and Natural Resources Hunter Education administrator.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
He is survived by wife, Cynthia King, of Kailua-Kona; sons, Terryl (Christiann) King, of Mountain View, Darrin (Vicki) King, of Gresham, Ore.; brothers, Nason King, of Marstons Mills, Mass., Bryan King, of Bristol, Conn.; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ben Dee McCallister, 79, of Waimea, died May 13 at his residence. Born July 24, 1932, in Fort Worth, Texas, he was a retired heart specialist for St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., an Army physician for Tripler Hospital, an Army veteran, and member of Annunciation Ascension Catholic Church, Mission Hills Country Club, American Medical Association and American College of Cardiology.
Service information will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, North Hawaii Hospice or Annunciation Ascension Catholic Church.
He is survived by wife, Virginia McCallister, of waimea; sons, Ben (Betsy) McCallister Jr., of Ann Arbor, Mich., Scott (Julie) McCallister, of Cleveland, John (Caroline) McCallister, of Kansas City, Mo., Thomas (Gail) McCallister, of San Rafael, Calif.; daughter, Katherine (Joseph) Cubba, of Fairfax, Va.; brother, Larry (Cynthia) McCallister, of Overland Park, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
