Man wears briefs on head during burglary
BOISE, Idaho — Police in southwest Idaho say a man chose briefs over boxers to wear on his head as he held up a coffee shop and stole a safe.
Coffee shop owner Jason Wilson said he believes the man was likely not prepared when he entered Big Star Coffee in Fruitland with an accomplice on Tuesday morning.
Wilson asked: “Who robs something with underwear on their head?”
Investigators said the two burglars made off with about $500 in cash that was inside the safe. Their actions were captured on surveillance cameras inside and outside the shop.
Moose on the loose triggers police chase
LOGAN, Utah — Utah wildlife officials say a moose went on a jaunt through neighborhoods north of Logan and triggered a police chase.
Division of Wildlife Resources officers tried to corner the wandering bull moose on Wednesday morning when the animal ran away. It was stopped when conservation officer Mark Burgess shot it with a tranquilizer dart.
Officers rolled the subdued moose in a large tarp and lifted him into a trailer.
Burgess said a wildlife biologist would test the animal’s blood before it is released into the wild, most likely into Blacksmith Fork Canyon.
