Grace Morks

Grace Johanna Morks, 81, of Hilo, died May 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Holland, she was a homemaker and member of the U.S. Tennis Association.

Friends may call at 11 a.m. May 19 at the Hilo Yacht Club for a celebration of her life. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, Cornelis Morks, of Hilo; daughter, Joanne (Rick) Tjulander, of Aloha, Ore.

Mildred Bloedorn

Mildred “Millie,” “Nana” Craven Bloedorn, 89, of Kailua-Kona, died May 13 at the Regency at Hualalai. Born Feb. 1, 1923, in Sacramento, Calif., she was a homemaker, member of Soroptimist International of Kona, United Presbyterian Church of Fort Morgan, Colo., former leader and member of Sherman School PTA, Campfire Girls, Fort Morgan United Way, Arcturus Club, University Women’s Club, Fort Morgan Women’s Golf Association and numerous community serving organizations.

Friends may call at 10:15 a.m. May 20 at the Regency at Hualalai in conjunction with the Sunday church service on the activities lanai, main entrance for a celebration of life. A service will also be held in Colorado at a later date. Memorial donations may be sent to Soroptimist International of Kona at P.O. Box 5196, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745. For information, call 325-5196.

She is survived by daughters, Sally Alapai, of Kailua-Kona, Corliss (Gary) Littlefieldm of Fort Morgan, Colo., Carole (John) VanGorder, of Leland, N.C.; son, John (Keith Wenger) Bloedorn, of Durham, N.C.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
