Kiyoshi Shirai

Kiyoshi Shirai, 82, of Kealakekua, died March 23 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born Aug. 28, 1929, in Kaawaloa, he was a retired owner and painting contractor of Shirai Painting Co., member of Hind Kumiai, Kona Sinwakai and Kona Hongwanji Mission.

Private services were held.

He is survived by wife, Seiko Shirai, of Kealakekua; brothers, Toshio (Asayo) Shirai, of Captain Cook, Takashi (Takako) Shirai, of Honolulu; sisters, Mildred Arai, of Hilo, Shizue (Edward) Asato, of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
