Yvonne “Nani” Haunani De Canto, 68, of Hilo, died April 8. Born April 11, 1943, in Honolulu,she was a retired paramedical assistant and outreach counselor for Pearl City Mental Health Clinic on Oahu and a homemaker.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. May 1 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 522 Ponahawai Street in Hilo, for a 10:30 a.m. service. Lunch to follow. Services will also be held May 5 on Oahu. Family requests casual attire be worn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 522 Ponahawai Street, Hilo, HI 96720.
She is survived by son, John (Yvonne) De Canto III, of Hilo; daughters, Dayna (Timothy) De Canto-Santiago, of Hilo, Desiree (Richard) De Canto-Gardner, of Kurtistown, D’vette (Kawehi) De Canto, of Mountain View; hanai daughter, Shaena (James) De Canto, of Volcano; brother, Norman Puni, of Honolulu; sisters, Aloma (Alvin) Puni, Ava (Gene) Kridler, both of Honolulu; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calvin Kadooka
Calvin Itsumi Kadooka, 61, of Kona and Hilo, died April 4 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 24, 1950, in Honokaa, he was a technician for Coca-Cola Bottling Co., former member of Hawaii Air National Guard and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Keei Ward.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. April 28 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kona Stake Center, 75-230 Kalani St., for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at 2 p.m. at Kona Memorial Park. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by companion, Myong Ching, of Hilo; son, Darrell (Jair) Kadooka, of Honolulu; mother, Toyoko Kadooka, of Keei, Kona; sisters, Carol (Joe) Lahoski, of Palmdale, Calif., Pauline McAlhany, of Keei, Kona, Pearl (Walt) Hoertkorn, of Kelseyville, Calif.; one grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Violet Goo
Violet Hulihee Goo, 91, of Hilo, died April 18 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker, member of Alu Like, Hawaiian Bowling Club and Parks & Recreation Senior Bowling League.

She is survived by daughters, Geraldine (Kennard) Kapono, of Riverside, Calif., Paulette (Harvey) Goo-Haimoto, of Kailua-Kona; son, Donald Goo, of Hilo; sisters, Jean Ramirez, Florence Apa, both of Honolulu, Jenny (John) Vantilberge, of North Hollywood, Calif.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Nalani Andresen
Nalani Makua Andresen, 57, of Hilo, died March 31 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 20, 1954, in Honolulu, she was a community service fundraiser for various charitable services and a sales representative for Na Makua Original Hawaiian Designs.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. April 29 at the Salvation Army Church in Hilo for a service.
She is survived by father, Joseph Makua, of Honolulu; brother, Nelson (Linda) Makua, of Keaau; numerous nieces and nephews.
William Youngren
William “Bill” Nils Youngren, 81, of Ocean View, died March 27 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Jan. 27, 1931, in Worcester, Mass., he was a retired general manager in the hospitality and hotel industry and an Air Force veteran.
No services are planned at this time.
He is survived by sister, Betty Slechta, of Massachusetts; hanai brother, Richard (Pat) Strother, of Naalehu; a cousin and nephew.

Roy Itamura
Roy Satoshi Itamura, 75, of West Jordan, Utah, formerly of Yorba Linda, Calif., died March 24 at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was retired from Rockwell, a volunteer at the Salt Lake County Department of Parks & Recreation and an Army veteran.
Private services will be held.
He is survived by wife, Emiko Itamura, of West Jordan, Utah; daughter, Velma Itamura, of West Jordan, Utah; brother, Jerry (Stella) Itamura, of Torrance, Calif.; sisters, Elsie (Stanley) Tsuji, Lorraine (Roy) Tomita, both of Hilo; two granddaughters, two great-grandchildren; nieces and a nephew.

Nannette Roberts
Nannette Charlene Roberts, 62, of Kailua-Kona, died April 18 at her residence. Born June 16, 1949, in Vallejo, Calif., she was a cashier at Walmart and manager for Tesoro in Kealakekua.

Katsuki Sunada
Katsuki Sunada, 88, of Puueopaku, Papaikou, died April 18 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born Dec. 23, 1923, in Puueopaku, he was a retired police officer from the Hawaii Police Department, Army World War II veteran and member of Papaikou Hongwanji Mission.
Private services were held.
He is survived by wife, Jane Sunada, of Puueopaku; daughters, Susan (Donn) Nagamine, Lori (Brent) Horiuchi, Kristi (Todd) China, all of Honolulu; brother, Thomas (Muriel) Sunada, of California; sisters, Lucille Sunada, of Hilo, Dorothy Kawamoto, of Puueopaku, Patsy Robinson, of California; two grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
