Angelina “Adela” Garcia Carvalho, 90, of Hilo, died April 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born May 14, 1921, in Hilo, she was a homemaker and member of New Hope Christian Fellowship-Hilo, Kohala Puerto Rican Social Club and Kamana Senior Center.
Friends may call at 6 p.m. April 25, at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may again call at 9 a.m. April 26 at the chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at 12:30 p.m. at Alae Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by sons, John Robello, of Oregon, Salvador (Barbara) Carvalho, of Honolulu; daughter, Darlene Moses, of Keaau; sisters, Laura Garcia, of California, Frances Ratliff, of New Mexico; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
