The Konawaena High School tennis courts and surrounding area received a facelift when about 30 Boy Scouts of America, Troop 59 members and supporters came out to beautify the area. Paint had deteriorated and weathered over the years, and there were cracks from a past earthquake. After repairing the cracks and cleaning up the mess, the large walls, net posts, basketball posts, hoops and light posts were painted. Trevor Yamagata, the scout leading the project and a senior at Konawaena, said he is grateful for the donations and help from the community that came together to make this project a success.
