Henry Street at the Palani Road intersection remains closed through Thursday, according to the Hawaii County Department of Public Works.

Motorists should enter and exit Henry Street via Queen Kaahumanu Highway, according to the department. Construction is from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

SOUTH KOHALA

Alternating lane closures in both directions are planned this week on Kohala Mountain Road — state Highway 250 — between mile markers 2 and 7, in the vicinity of Waiaka Junction, for pavement resurfacing, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Crews will be working from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Road work is weather permitting.

WAIMEA

Alternating lane closures will be in effect through May on Mamalahoa Highway between Mana Road and Puu Nani Drive for the work, according to the Hawaii County Department of Public Works. Crews will be working from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The westbound lane of Old Mamalahoa Highway just past Viera Road will be closed for tree trimming through April 28, according to the department. Alatani Tree Experts Inc. crews will be working from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
