Kona College Fair scheduled Monday
The Hawaii Association for College Admission Counseling is sponsoring the third annual Kona College Fair from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday. The program is hosted by Kealakehe School and will feature colleges from Hawaii, the mainland and overseas. A general advising and financial aid center will be available to students and their families to answer specific questions regarding the college admission process and financial aid.
The college fair is free of charge and is designed for all Kona area students interested in pursuing higher education opportunities.

Tropical fruit growers meeting Monday
The West Hawaii chapter of Hawaii Tropical Fruit Growers meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the University of Hawaii Experiment Station in Kainaliu, which is across from Aloha Theatre. Nonmembers are welcome to attend.
Lester Ueda from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency will discuss a variety of its programs for area farmers, including drought- and vog-related assistance and reimbursement of transportation costs for geographically disadvantaged farmers and ranchers.

Prostate cancer support group
meets Wednesday
The Prostate Cancer Information and Support Group meets at noon Wednesday at the lower level of the pool bar at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. Newly diagnosed and prostate cancer survivors are welcome
There is no fee to attend the meeting, but lunch may be purchased at the bar.
Men aged 45 and older are encouraged to learn about prostate cancer risks and early detection to help them make informed decisions with their doctors about their prostate health.
