Eugene Minoru Eguchi, 92, of Hilo, died March 2 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired library technician with the Hawaii Public Library System, an Army veteran of World War II serving with Company A of the 100th Infantry Battalion and member of Taishoji Soto Mission, Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 6 Hilo, 100th Infantry Battalion Veterans, Hawaii Chapter and Naniakea Kumiai.

He is survived by wife, Takeko Eguchi, of Hilo; daughters, Joan (Rick) Castberg, of Hilo, Lois Eguchi, of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; sister, Ann Eguchi, of Hilo; a granddaughter.
