This month’s program, featuring Teresa Bateman’s “The Bully Blockers Club,” highlights Child Abuse Prevention Month by inviting parents and children to be part of the solution to bullying rather than part of the problem.

Mia Kriebl-Bruno and Alec Lugo, teen actors who played Anne Frank and Peter Van Pels in Aloha Performing Arts Company’s presentation of “The Diary of Anne Frank” will be special guest performers.

The Read Aloud Program is offered on the first Tuesday of each month of the school year. Parents must attend the program with their school-age children. Children are separated into reading groups, by grade. Each group will have a person reading aloud to them, followed by a discussion of what was read.

Registration will take place from 4:30 to 5 p.m. in front of the library, followed by the teens’ performance at 5 p.m. and age-group reading from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Free refreshments, prizes and books are offered on the lanai, after the event.
