The Rotary Club of Kona Mauka surpassed its fundraising goal by raising more than $17,000 for Konawaena High School student scholarships and other community projects at this year’s Valentine Wine Tasting Celebration.
The Rotary Club of Kona Mauka surpassed its fundraising goal by raising more than $17,000 for Konawaena High School student scholarships and other community projects at this year’s Valentine Wine Tasting Celebration.
Every year, the Rotary Club of Kona Mauka supports the community in various ways such as scholarships, sponsoring students to attend a leadership camp, providing every third-grader in the Konawaena complex with a dictionary and vision screening, and community service projects.
The Kona Mauka Rotary Club consists of over 20 members from the Kona community. They meet every Tuesday at Teshima’s Restaurant in Honalo from noon to 1 p.m. For more information about the club, contact President Rod Crisp at 756-6550.
