Stimulus funds?
Stimulus funds?
Tax money misspent
Concerning the recent article by Carolyn Lucas-Zenk: I am obviously missing something.
How is it money specifically earmarked to “stimulate the economy” is being spent to teach people healthy eating habits?
You have got to be kidding.
I am a frustrated taxpayer who is sick and tired of the ridiculous spending by government at all levels in this country. No wonder we are in trouble.
People need to learn how to eat healthy food, but please, don’t use my taxes to do it when we have a huge number of people out of work.
Many of these unemployed people are just concerned with eating — period. People need jobs, not lessons in nutrition. These funds were never intended to be used as described in this article, yet this government feels this is a valid use of the money. Ridiculous. No wonder this state is in such poor financial condition.

Police station
High cost is in the needless indoor range
The need for a South Kona Police station is obvious.
The stratospheric price is because of the plan to include a gold-plated Rolls Royce indoor firing range in the same building — in a residential neighborhood. Locate the firing range somewhere else, where it can be outdoors (this is Hawaii) and the cost a police station tumbles.
