The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a high surf advisory for the Big Island’s north-, east- and south-facing shores through 6 p.m. today.
The service said wave heights could range from 6 feet to 8 feet. The service cautioned easterly winds could cause rough and choppy surf.
