RUSTON, La. — Trevor Gaskins scored 22 points and Brandon Gibson added 16 for Louisiana Tech in an 84-67 win over Hawaii Saturday.

The win extended Louisiana Tech’s longest winning streak of the season to four straight games, and secured a season sweep over the Warriors. The Bulldogs (15-14, 5-7 Western Athletic Conference) also dropped Hawaii on Jan. 20 in a four-point win.

This one was not as close, although for most of the first half it looked like Hawaii would come out on top. The Warriors led for the first 13 minutes until Cordarius Johnson hit a 3 to pull Louisiana Tech ahead 29-28 with less than seven minutes left before halftime.

Gibson added a 3-pointer of his own and a layup, fueling a 12-2 Bulldogs run and they led the rest of the way.

Vander Joaquim finished with 20 points to pace Hawaii (15-13, 6-6).
