Kona Festivale Chorale announces its 14th annual “Swing Into Spring” dinner gala to be presented Feb. 25 in the ballroom of King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. The event features a dinner buffet; live and silent auctions; a live cabaret show; and the award-winning dinner/dance music of Bill Noble.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction review followed by a dinner buffet at 6:30 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m., dinner guests will be treated to “Hawaiian Holiday,” a collection of long celebrated hapa haole songs with dance, newly arranged by Roberta King for the concert stage, featuring the Gloryland and Celebration Singers.

The “Hawaiian Holiday” cabaret show will include such notable selections as “Mapuana” (My Beloved), “Waikiki” (Spouting Water), “Beyond the Rainbow,” “Hawaiian Village,” “Here Is Happiness” (Koko ni Sachiari), “Singing Bamboo,” “The Luau Song,” “Ekolu mea nui” (Three Things), “Blue Hawaii,” “Lovely Hula Hands,” “Ei Nei” (My Strange One) and “My Dede,” Featured dancers will include Jo-Anna Boshard, Halani Berard and Kalehua Meheula along with featured singers Emma Gardner (“Singing Bamboo”); Misty Mistler (“Ei Nei” and “My Dede”); Carson Wilcox (“Hawaiian Village”); and Boshard (“Here Is Happiness”) with King and studio musicians.

At 8:15 p.m., master of ceremonies Bruce Campbell will conduct a live auction followed by afterglow dancing from 9 to 10:00 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased by calling the Kona Festivale Chorale Ticket Hotline at 331-1115. Tickets are $65 per person and tables of 10 receive a 10 percent discount at $585. All sales are final and tickets are nontransferable.
