Volcano Arts Center invites the public to experience the joy of papermaking. Lisa Louise Adams will show participants how easy it is to prepare a paper pulp vat, dip a mould and deckle, drain, couch and dry sheets. No previous experience is necessary. Adams will guide participants on a papermaking journey and share her extensive samples of paper made from local plants and exotic additions. Cost is $65, $15 materials fee.
The class will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 3 at the center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village. Class size is limited. Call 967-8222 to register.
