The occasion takes place Saturday throught Feb. 20 at the Edith Kanakaole Multi-Purpose Stadium in Hilo. This is one of two AKC-cluster shows held on the Big Island each year — the second cluster being held in October.
The club was founded in 1973 and is a nonprofit organization that promotes the sport of purebred dogs and responsible pet ownership through various activities and training classes offered throughout the year. This year, the Saturday event will mark the club’s 100th AKC all-breed dog show. A special “Parade of Title Holders” for any dog holding an AKC title that competed at these events over years past will be added, as well as additional entries for the “Best Puppy In Show.”
