Alexander Faisca

Alexander Faisca, 88, of Kapaau, died Feb. 2 at Kohala Hospital. Born in Halawa, he served in the Army 298th Infantry, was a retired vehicle service technician for C&K Kohala Sugar Plantation and member of the Puerto-Rican Club, American Legion and Sacred Heart Church, Hawi.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 18 at Sacred Heart Church, Hawi, for a 10 a.m. Mass. Inurnment follows at Halawa Catholic Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by son, Edward (Lynn) Faisca, of Hawi; daughters, Bernadette (Richard) Montero and Marietta (Zack Majia) Cadiente, both of Waipahu, Oahu, Virginia (Duane) DeSilva, of Kapaau; brothers, Joseph (Helen) Faisca, of Kapaau, Samuel Faisca, of Honolulu; sister, Ruth Faisca, of California; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.

Rosalina Miller

Rosalina “Rose” Alcain Miller, 82, of Holualoa, died Jan. 21 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 11, 1929, in Keei, she was a retired coffee farmer and member of St. John’s Catholic Church.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. Feb. 18 at St John’s Catholic Church in Kealakekua.

She is survived by daughters, Debi (Gerardo) Ruiz Soria and Tammy (Lyle) Palakiko, both of Holualoa; sisters, Nina (Frank) Arnise, of Kailua-Kona, Lucy Alcain and Norma Durterte, both of Captain Cook, Andrea (Glenn) Vanderhook, of Ocean View; brothers, Roger (Linda) Alcain, of Kealakekua, Johnny (Barbara) Alcain, of Honomalino, Gary Alcain, of Keei, Andres (Olena) Alcain Jr., of Captain Cook; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Marcine Bolton

Marcine Georgia Bolton, 92, of Waiohinu, died Jan. 28 at her home. Born Feb. 22, 1919, in Akron, Colo., she was a bookkeeper for Fabrics and Fashions and Shaka Restaurant and macadamia nut and palm tree farmer.

Private services were held.

She is survived by son, Richard (Shirley) Bolton, of Waiohinu; brother, Robert (Aileen) Heidemann, of Twin Falls, Idaho; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis White

Dennis Eugene White, 62, of Waikoloa, died Jan. 17 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Red Bluff, Calif.

Private services were held.

He is survived by daughters, Christie Bailey and Katy Bailey, both of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Cathy Hildreth and Susan White, both of Topeka, Kan.; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
