The female driver of a Ford F250 four-door pickup was killed and three others injured after a lift bucket from a construction utility truck clipped a wire and fell on the truck.

Transported to the hospital were two passengers in the Ford truck, as well as the driver of the construction utility truck, said police Sgt. Raymond Childers.

He said the utility truck was traveling west on Kaiminani Drive near the intersection of Ane Keohokalole Highway when its partially extended lift bucket caught on a wire, causing the truck to flip, with the lift bucket falling upon the pickup.

Kaiminani Drive will be closed for several hours, police said at 10:20 a.m.
