Waikoloa Land Company, the master developer for Waikoloa Beach and Golf Resort, announced today the appointment of Scott Head to the newly created position of director of club operations. H
Head will oversee the management, maintenance, marketing and sales for Waikoloa’s Kings’ and Beach golf courses, while developing new strategies and club programs to elevate Waikoloa’s stature as the gathering place of the Kohala Coast. Thos Rohr, president of Waikoloa Land Company, said, “Scott is a proven winner and having him help guide the future of Waikoloa’s golf and club operations is a huge plus. He has an exciting vision to make Waikoloa an even more invigorating experience for all golfers in the welcoming spirit of Big Island hospitality.”

He was a four-year letterman for the University of Hawaii golf team before graduating in 1990 with a degree in business management. He then served as the assistant golf pro at Waialae Country Club for five years, before thriving as the head golf pro at Kauai’s Princeville Resort from 1996-2000. Among his Hawaii golfing achievements was being named the Aloha Section’s PGA Professional of the Year for 1999. He is also coaching Parker McLachlin, who is in his first year on the PGA TOUR and is the registered touring pro representative for Waikoloa Beach & Golf Resort.
