‘Quilts for Soldiers’ hosted by shop
Quilt Passions Quilt and Needlework Shop is hosting a “Quilts for Soldiers” service project on Thursday and ongoing each second Thursday of the month. Quilters of all skill levels will be working together to make quilts to be placed with local wounded service men and women. There are many ways to participate.
The event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. in an open house style, participants can came and stay as long as they like. The shop is in the King Kamehameha Mall in Kailua-Kona.

Book shop is site for free keiki concert
Kona Stories is hosting a free keiki music concert with Linda Yapp at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the store.
Trained as a Montessori teacher, over the years Yapp has taught more than 1,000 young children in the classroom, incorporating her music and songs in the students’ daily activities.
