Pizzeria Zacchini sets grant opening
On May 30, the Big Island’s first pizza bistro officially opens its doors at 73-5618 Maiau St. above Costco. After many weeks of preparation, Barbara Zacchini has scheduled the grand opening of Pizzeria Zacchini, her authentic Italian pizzeria.
Pizzeria Zacchini offers both traditional pizza and combinations designed for island tastes. Even a tried and true favorite like pepperoni pizza gets a fresh presentation, with imported pepperoni julienned, so that every bite is a flavor explosion, rich with smoky, spicy succulence. And the Kaloko Loco Pizza has already become a local favorite with its blend of Kahlua pig and pineapple.
Pizzeria Zacchini features original recipes, handed down from mother to son to daughter, and uses a Neapolitan brick oven. The oven produces and holds a high, steady heat for even, uniform baking and perfect consistency.
The decor at Pizzeria Zacchini is a fusion of classic bistro and aloha spirit. Casual seating is available at the pizza bar, along with tables for singles, couples and groups.
