Kona Krew hosts talk about storage
Jana Powell, manager of Great American Self Storage, will discuss how storage facilities can be effective tools for warehousing, document storage and more in a talk titled “Effective Business Tools.” The event from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday is hosted by the Kona Krew chapter of the Business Nework International, which meets at Calvary Chapel in Kaiwi Square.

Tourism agency taking request for proposals
The Hawaii Tourism Authority is taking requests for proposals for projects qualifying under its 2010 Natural Resources and its Kukulu Ola — Living Hawaiian Culture programs.
The Natural Resources Program seeks projects and programs consistent with Chapter 201B of the Hawaii Revised Statutes which mandates that, of the Tourism Special Fund, “at least $1,000,000 shall be made available to support efforts to manage, improve and protect Hawaii’s natural environment and areas frequented by visitors.”
The Kukulu Ola — Living Hawaiian Culture Program seeks projects and programs that help to advance the goal of the Hawaiian Culture Strategic Initiative “to honor and perpetuate the Hawaiian culture and community,” as articulated in the strategic plan.
